We decided to end 2011 in a “big” way, by looking at menu items that are available to the public if the normal serving’s just not enough. Yes, more than ever, the “double” seems to be a popular way to go when eating out. Sure, these mouthwatering foods look tasty; it’s awfully tempting to think that they are “twice as nice.” But take a step back and take a look at some of the numbers—they’ll make you do a double take. In this case, two is definitely a crowd; by doubling the main ingredient, they provide a double-whammy—with extra calories and fat—so you’re definitely putting your diet in danger. Just walk away from these fattening foods—on the double.
And let’s not get into the trouble with triples.
